New Drum Circle at Countryside April 9th, 2010

You demanded it, and we listened – the CCUU Drum Circle is here! The first one will be at 7 pm on April 9 in the Sanctuary. Kids are welcome and encouraged to participate.
No experience is necessary – there will be a facilitator on hand to guide the group in various rhythms. Please bring any and all hand drums and hand percussion you have so that we might share with those who have none. (We can't guarantee availability of instruments, but we can probably get creative).
Drumming is a fantastic way to release tension and nurture your primal creative spirit. Kids respond to it as a fun method of self-expression. We want to make this a monthly event, so please bring your enthusiasm and energy.

Kassandra+3 guestsWhat a great turnout for this fabulous first time Drum Circle. The leader; Jeffrey, is experienced and led us by example and without talking for the majority of the time. Many friendly kindred spirits were there and everyone was generous about sharing their extra drums, rattles and rainsticks. Looking forward to many more monthly Drumming Circles!!
